Caffio is a mobile espresso bar built onto a vintage Italian Vespa Apé truck. For them, we developed a custom script wordmark and an accompanying icon. As “apé” means “bee” in Italian, the icon showcases a bee with an espresso cup for a thorax.

We maintained a classy, one-color black application for both marks, giving a strong and clean contrast to the crisp white of the Vespa truck and coffee cups. Subtle, uneven edges on the artwork convey the casual and welcoming character of this traveling establishment.

The Caffio script logo was featured in Logo Lounge Volume 10.
