ToeBlooms are the creation of mother and entrepreneur Hallie House. Locally owned and handmade, ToeBlooms are an ideal accessory for baby girls newborn to 12 months old. They have been featured by Nickelodeon Parents Connect, The Arizona Republic, and American Baby and Baby Couture magazines. ToeBlooms can be found at Nordstroms, as well as online and in several local boutiques.
Monomyth was challenged with refining the ToeBlooms brand and completely redesigning the packaging. The client requested a more earth-friendly and sustainable approach, as their production volumes have grown substantially. Our goals were to reduce the amount of plastic used (the previous packaging was almost entirely plastic), and to expand the brand’s floral theme in a less literal sense.
Monomyth worked with local print house Prisma Graphic to develop a custom 10-sided package. We wanted to create a box that emulates a flower pot. The decagon shape allowed us to achieve this effect, while enabling the box to be displayed in a variety of positions (standing, resting or hanging) depending on each store’s display window.
The new packaging, constructed from recycled paper sources, also created more space to showcase the ToeBlooms brand, helping to grow brand awareness from the previous designs.
Monomyth’s refresh of the ToeBlooms brand authenticated the hand-type style, created improved legibility at smaller sizes, and broke the brand out of its confined space. In addition, a simplified, contemporary floral pattern was developed to add texture and provide a backdrop in application. Combined, these elements help give the brand a clean, up-to-date look that meshes well with the use of natural texture packaging materials, resulting in a bright and easily recognizable package on the store shelf.
“It was an absolute pleasure working with the Monomyth team. They listened, and understood our business objectives and desired image. Our new packaging and refreshed brand definitely position Toeblooms for success. We couldn’t be more happy with how everything turned out.”
